Programming
Python, R, SQL, Java
Over the last few years, I have moved through quite a spectrum. From corporate teams with structure, scrappy startup days where "everything" meant everything and research labs chasing the next algorithm. Somewhere in between, I have been the data guy, the ML guy and sometimes even the "make-it-work" DevOps guy.
I have seen the arc of this field firsthand, from training traditional deep learning models, to experimenting with transfer learning and now shaping things with LLMs and agentic workflows. Each phase has been less about chasing trends and more about learning. For me, the fun is in that mix: figuring out how new advancements can be foundations for solving current industrial problems, while keeping the process as practical (and human) as possible.

Do you think better AI comes from better models or better systems built around imperfect ones?
